Olympic Time project

This was a short project to design a piece of sculpture to suggest time at the London 2012 Olympics. At the time the Olympic torch by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby had just been released and gave me an idea with the holes on my design. The cog shapes came from clocks telling time and cogs seem to be a big part of clocks. The name eternity also suggests time, though the cogs wouldn’t move with the design at the moment I would have added more detail and cogs to make them move.I wasn’t happy with this project as it was rushed idea and design and I feel I could have done better.

Model Making 2012 Olympics Project

This project was to create two geometric forms of your choice and through sketch work bring them together into some form of compatibility. We had to make working drawings of the shapes with cross sections included and a well made model. I feel although it seemed simple it helped a lot with my working drawing skills and actually finding different ways to create these forms. I may have to produce something similar in the next few days.
